What is Pinwheels for Prevention?
Every April, communities across the country recognize Child Abuse Prevention Month by planting blue pinwheels.
The blue pinwheel is a nationally recognized symbol of childhood. It represents the hope that every child grows up in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment.
Our pinwheel garden serves as a visible reminder that preventing child abuse is a shared community responsibility. Every person, organization, and neighborhood can help create environments where children and families thrive.
About Kids-TALK Advocacy Center
Kids-TALK Children’s Advocacy Center provides compassionate, child-focused services for children and families impacted by abuse. Through advocacy, forensic interviews, family support, and community education, we help children begin their healing journey while working to prevent future abuse.
Rather than focusing only on tragedy, the Pinwheels for Prevention campaign highlights what communities can do to strengthen families before abuse occurs.
