Early Childhood

Early Childhood Services offer a variety of resources to support pregnant women, and parents/guardians and their young children ages birth through 6 years. Services include prevention, intervention and education.

Community Resource Centers
Community Resource Centers (CRC) are located at several TGC sites in the Downriver area. Our CRCs serve families through programming such as literacy events, diaper depot, clothing closet and more.
Early Head Start/Head Start Registration

Early Head Start
Early Head Start is a free program for children birth to 2.5 years old and for expectant mothers. Its focus is to help families and their young children to grow up happy and healthy with prenatal education, nutrition counseling, development and health education, parenting education, and more.
Head Start
Head Start is a free, quality preschool program for three and four-year-old children. This program helps children get ready for kindergarten by teaching them pre-reading and writing skills as well as how to get along with other children.
Infant & Early Childhood Mental Health
Infant and Early Childhood Mental Health Services offer home-based therapeutic services and support for pregnant women and families of infants, toddlers, and preschoolers through age 6.

 

Now you can use web and mobile tools to help you get better and stay mentally strong. myStrength is safe and secure and offers personalized resources to improve your mood.

 

To sign up for myStrength:

2. Enter your information, and the following Access Code:

  • if you are a Member/Consumer: DWMHAc
  • if you are Care Giver/Guardian: DWMHAcare
  • if you are a Community Member:  DWMHAp
  • if you are a Provider staff person for personal use: DWMHAstaff

3. Complete the myStrength sign-up process with a brief Wellness Assessment and personal profile.

4. Go mobile! Using the access code above, get the myStrength app for iOS and Android devices at www.mystrength.com/mobile
