Volunteer Opportunities for Youth

If you have/are a youth in middle or high school, we have opportunities for you to make change in your community. We are looking for youth to help with community coalition activities and to sit on our Youth Advisory Board (YAB). Board members will represent The Guidance Center and the Healthy Downriver Coalition.

The mission of the YAB is to advocate for youth in the Downriver area by breaking down the stigma around mental health and substance use through community education and outreach.

Click here to learn more about the Healthy Downriver Coalition.

Throughout the year, we bring the community together through Town Hall meetings, wellness expos, and resilience-building events. We invite you to join the conversation and would welcome the opportunity to partner with your organization to create a lasting impact.

Prevention services are by appointment only. Please contact Lisa Horvath at 734-785-7705 x7361 or lhorvath@guidance-center.org.
