Parents as Teachers

Through home visits, parent educators follow the Parents As Teachers curriculum to offer practical tips on ways to encourage learning, manage challenging behavior, and promote strong parent-child relationships.

What do we offer?

Personalized home visits by certified parent educators trained in child development to support parents’ understanding of what to expect in each stage of their child’s development.

What is our goal?

To provide the information, support and encouragement parents need to help their children develop optimally during the crucial early years of life.

Who can receive services?

All Parents As Teachers activities are free to families wishing to participate who currently have children birth through three years of age.

PAT services are available throughout the Downriver area. For more information call 734-926-7530.
