What can I expect from therapy at The Guidance Center?
(link to) Your therapist will initially meet with you to get a clear understanding of your personal strengths, your specific needs, primary concerns, and personal goals for change. They will then schedule a meeting with you and any family, friends, or other supporters you would like to participate in your person-centered planning process (also known as treatment planning). After you establish a treatment plan, your therapist will work with you to schedule regular appointments that are convenient for you.
Treatment planning is important.

Meetings with your therapist and other treatment members will be guided by the steps outlined in your treatment plan. The focus is on recovery, finding solutions, and developing skills. We will help you work toward specific goals, build on your personal strengths, utilize your natural supports and the services and supports available to you at The Guidance Center and in your community.
