]]> Come join the fun in a free family yoga class designed just for parents/caregivers and children! Our yoga teacher, Kelly Sharpy, will demonstrate fun yoga poses that are suitable for all ages and skill levels.

Free yoga mats available or bring your own.

This event is limited to 30 attendees. You may pre-register below. Walk-ins welcome only if space is available.

These virtual workshops provide concrete (helpful) information needed to be a more effective parent to motivate, lead and inspire the very best in your children.

Tuesday Evenings: September 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29, 2026 from 7-8:30pm

Workshop Sessions:

  1. Handling Misbehavior without Breaking a Sweat
  2. Teaching Kids to Listen the First Time
  3. Avoid Power Struggles and Bedtime Battles
  4. Setting Limits
  5. What to Do When Your Kids Leave You Speechless

Two take-home assignments will be required. Certificate provided only after all five sessions and two assignments have been completed.

FULL PARTICIPATION IS REQUIRED.

WHAT IS QPR?
The QPR Institute’s mission is to save lives and reduce suicidal behaviors by providing innovative, practical, and proven suicide prevention training. We believe that quality education empowers all people, regardless of their background, to make a positive difference in the life of someone they know.

WHAT IS A QPR GATEKEEPER?
A gatekeeper is someone in a position to recognize a crisis and the warning signs that someone may be contemplating suicide.

QPR Gatekeepers can be anyone, but include
● Parents
● Teachers
● Minister
● Youth
● Doctors
● First Responders
● Mental Health Professionals
● And YOU!

AS A CERTIFIED QPR GATEKEEPER YOU WILL LEARN TO:
1. Recognize the warning signs of suicide
2. Increase awareness of stigma and understand suicide as a public health issue
3. Know how to offer hope
4. Know how to access local and national referral resources
5. Know how to get help and save a life

*Participants must attend the entire course in order to receive certification
