P.L.A.Y. Project

Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters (P.L.A.Y.) is a nationally recognized treatment that provides intensive training and support for families of children with autism right in their home. Parents spend more time with their children than all of their teachers and therapists combined. Caregivers are trained to provide high-quality, one-on-one intervention based on the DIR/Floortime model (approximately 20-25 hours per week). The training provides techniques that are effective, fun and useful in day-to-day interactions. The P.L.A.Y. Project is incorporated into the Person Centered Planning process. This includes home consultation, video taping of P.L.A.Y. interactions, written evaluations and feedback.
